home on the horizon

home feels so far from where i want it to be
i find i cant control my own destiny
the days that have gone
and the years that have passed
see my home on the horizon at last

then the clouds roll over and the rain stat to poor
i walk down the path
god set for me
and i smile
at the thought of my own destiny
but the home i most long for
is still on the far horizon
